This is a critical role in aligning business strategy with operational excellence by developing, maintaining and optimising capabilities, value streams and processes. This involves collaborating with leadership to understand vision and cross-functional teams to design models that support strategic goals and Enterprise Architecture (EA) function to provide a north star, improve efficiency, and drive transformation activities.
Job Description
• Leading the Business Architecture and Analysis Practice: Guide, develop, and govern the Business Architecture and Consulting practice to shape the organisation’s long-term strategy and future state.
• Strategic Planning: Involved in high-level strategic planning and decision-making, and ensure that business processes align with the strategic objectives of the organization.
• Process Ownership: Takes ownership of major business processes and ensures they align with organizational goals.
• Analyze Business Needs: Understand and analyze the specific business requirements within various processes in the organization. Work closely with the Application Architects to create the process blueprint and establish business process requirements to drive out application requirements and metrics.
• Identify Improvement Opportunities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business process requirements. Design and document business processes, including characteristics and KPIs. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to identify and define areas for process improvement.
• Design and Model Processes: Design and model optimal business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Expected to be an SME, who collaborates owns responsibility for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and expected to drive solutioning for business problems that apply across multiple teams.
• Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with relevant insurance regulations and organization standards.
• Technology Integration: Collaborate with IT teams to integrate technology solutions with business processes.
• Performance Measurement: Measure, evaluate, and report on process performance using Six Sigma metrics.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of business process design and optimization. Experience in creating process blueprints and establishing process requirements. Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in leading a team of business process architects and in designing, managing, and optimizing business processes
• Leadership: Proven ability to provide strategic direction and mentorship to a business architecture team within a global organization
• Strategic Alignment: Proven capability to align Business Architecture to ensure effective delivery of transformation and technology initiatives align with strategy
• Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional ability to foster meaningful connections with senior stakeholders, communicating complex architectural concepts in a clear and impactful manner
